Enjoy an Evening of Jazz in The Garden

This is another one of our favorite concert series that happened during the warmer season in the District. Jazz in the Garden at Pavilion Cafe is this awesome little local favorite FREE event which features “ an eclectic mix of live jazz music performed by top Washington-area artists”.
The Pavilion Cafe also hosts a special menu just for the event and guests are able to purchase both food and beverages from carts located all around the gardens. Guests get to enjoy great food, music, the beautiful scenery at the sculpture gardens and a beautiful little option for a date night picnic.
If you’re unable to attend this particular event, rest assured that there will be plenty more throughout the summer, with the final series wrapping up August 24th.
Live-Action Game of “CLUE”® and Scavenger Hunt
Meet at Ollie’s Trolley
425 12th St NW,Washington, DC
Okay, so I’m a total sucker for live-action games and think that the District is one of the best spots for people who love a good ol’ competition. Various companies host a wide array of scavenger hunts for adults in the district and this one is one of the most popular.
Tickets are $20.00 and the event starts in the morning at 11:30 a.m. and last for 4 hours until 3:30 p.m. Participants get to complete various tasks required of them throughout the game and retrieve information and items as clues which will be revealed throughout the game to help identify the murderer, weapon and location of the murder.
The winners will be the ones who earn the most points throughout the challenges. So gather all your besties, grab up a few drinks and head to Olley’s Trolley to do some crime solving.
DC Duck Race
The Yards Park, 355 Water Street Southeast
So, this event might be the single cutest event in the District going on this May. This family-friendly game is brought to you by the Rotary Club of Washington, DC and brings the community together in order to support local organizations and nonprofits.
The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. and features a flock of cute little rubber duckies that participate in the race on the Anacostia River at Yards Park.
The grand prize for the winner this year? A 3 day/2 night stay at Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, VA as well as $200 in Resort Credit OR a special duck worth $1,000,000!
Participants joining in the festivities get to also enjoy music, entertainment, food and other activities available during the event.
