These amazing musicians and singers come together this year for this beautiful act in honor of Memorial Day and we absolutely can’t wait to experience it.

National Memorial Day Parade
Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC
This is one for the books ya’ll. You absolutely can’t miss the National Memorial Day Parade which host a number of Youth groups, awesome floats, performances and marching band as well as scores of veterans marching down Constitution Avenue. This particular parade is the largest of its kind within the nation because of course you know that DC does it up.
The event starts at 2 p.m. however it is highly recommended that you arrive super early because it is a national event and gets insanely packed, especially if you’ll be driving. My personal recommendation is to take public transit, make sure you get all of your pottying and eating out of the way, bring a cooler full of beverages and snacks and enjoy the event.
This insanely awesome event is definitely a local favorite and this year is brought to you by Humana. Rolling Thunder commemorates the honorable veterans who have lost their lives and this year also includes a presentation of lapel pins to “ recognize the service and sacrifices Vietnam veterans made during the war and officially welcome these Brave individuals home.”
Technically, Rolling Thunder is called “Rolling Thunder First Amendment Demonstratino Run” and is actually an annual protest, which originally started back in 1988. These motorcyclist come from all around the nation and even the world and rally in the Pentagon parking lot and then commence a scheduled route through the mall section of Washington DC. The purpose of this rally is to bring awareness of and address accountability for the various POWs and MIAs that have been left behind.
