This awesome play centers around the life of  famous painter Sandro Botticelli and is perfectly “modernized in typical Woolly Mammoth-style”. Botticelli is found in a bit of a pickle while painting The Birth of Venus. The famous painter is decidedly dedicated to “life’s pleasures”, however finds himself tested by a new populist priest in Florence. As a result, he’s forced to “choose between his work and the life of his apprentice…Leonardo Da Vinci.”

It follows the story of nine teenage boys pulled from a train, falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to death in what was demonstrated as an “outrageous disregard of due process”. This astounding work of art has received a whopping 12 Tony Awards and is sure to be an event for the books.
