Navy Mile

This week also celebrates the birthday of United States Navy, a large source of pride for our nation, giving us time to  really appreciate all the amazingly brave and awesome actions our valiant (and hunky) service men have done to serve our country.

On the 1st of October, everyone has a chance in or around Pennsylvania Avenue to be a part of the team.

This one-mile race is presented by USAA, which brings a chance to people of all ages, to be part of a race with the world’s top class runners in the United States and from all around the world.  So take some time out of your weekend and watch the avenue fill with support for our brave guys and gals in an event you absolutely can’t miss.

This is a race for everyone; anyone in your family is welcome to take part by hitting the Navy Mile pavements and competing with the hearts of every age and ability. Everyone after the race is also allowed to visit the grounds of Navy memorial plaza. So show some support ya’ll. #hooyah.

If you’re in Washington, DC or anywhere near, this is the chance for you to enjoy the limited remaining weekends of this year. There is no better place for you to meet your artistic, party animal friends so gear yourself up and head outside to live out the last bits of the beautiful warm season before it’s over.
